Creating awareness and increasing the representation of African Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)

The underrepresentation of African women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields is a pressing issue that perpetuates inequality and hinders socio-economic development. This project aims to create awareness and increase representation of African women in STEM, highlighting their achievements from coding and medicine to robotics and astronomy and also highlighting their challenges on the field.

This is a project that will boost the visibility of successful women in STEM

• Participants will be taught how to create articles on Wikipedia and Wikidata
• Participants are expected to create about 200 articles on Wikidata
