Event:Documenting Igbo Proverbs, Riddles and Building Audio Archives 2026

This project is a cultural and language preservation initiative focused on documenting traditional Igbo proverbs (Ilu Igbo) and Igbo riddles (gwam gwam gwam) through audio recordings and open knowledge platforms. The project aims to preserve endangered aspects of Igbo oral heritage by recording native speakers, reciting proverbs and riddles, explaining their meanings, and sharing their cultural significance.
