Template:Infobox boxer provides a quick overview of the most sought after information of a boxer in an easy to view sideframe to the article proper. The infobox is intended for all current, retired and dead boxers.

Parameters

This template implements all parameters accepted by {{Infobox person}}. See here for a complete list. Common parameters include:

• name — Common name
• image — Image name, if available. Examples: abc.jpg, xpz.png, 123.gif, etc.
• image_size — Size to display image, in px. This parameter should not normally need to be set.
• alt — Alt text for image. See WP:ALT.
• caption — Caption for image, if needed. Include date of photo, if known.
• birth_name — Only use if different from name listed above. Can also use real_name.
• birth_date — Date of birth, use of {{birth date and age}} (if living) or {{birth date}} (if dead) is encouraged
• birth_place — City of birth, with country if different from nationality
• death_date — Date of death, use {{death date and age}} (if birth date is known) or {{death date}} (if birth date unknown).
• death_place — Place of death
• nationality — Nationality, unlinked if the boxer is from a well-known country; do not include a flag icon
• other_names — Other notable names for the person, if different from |name= and |birth_name=. This can include most common nicknames, maiden/married names, etc. Can also use nickname.
• website — Official website only. Use {{URL}} as in example.com. Do not display www. unless website requires it.
• embed — Setting to yes allows infobox embedding.

Additional parameters for the boxer infobox:

• weight_class — Currently published weight class. For retired and dead boxers, most commonly listed weight class.
• weight — Listed weight (conversions are automatic but {{convert}} may be used)
• height — Listed height (conversions are automatic but {{convert}} may be used)
• reach — Published reach (conversions are automatic but {{convert}} may be used)
• stance — Stance; use either Orthodox or Southpaw. Can also use style.
• boxrec — id at http://www.boxrec.com/, used in a citation displayed with Boxing record
• boxrec_name — name displayed in citation, if different from name parameter or article name
• total — Total number of fights
• wins — Total number of wins
• KO — Total number of knockouts
• losses — Total number of losses; include a 0 if they are undefeated
• draws — Total number of draws; leave blank if they have not had a draw
• no_contests — Total number of no contests; leave blank if they have not had a no-contest
• medaltemplates — All templates from the medal record infobox except {{MedalTableTop}} and {{MedalBottom}}. Place the medal templates in the order stated in the medal templates documentation, and arrange the competitions alphabetically by name.
• show-medals — If show-medals=no, the medal table is collapsed. By default, it is expanded.

The HTML markup produced by this template includes an hCard microformat, which makes the person's details parsable by computers, either acting automatically to catalogue articles across Wikipedia or via a browser tool operated by a reader, to (for example) add the subject to an address book or database. Sub-templates

Date-of-birth ("bday") information will only be included in the microformat if {{birth date}}, or {{birth date and age}} are used in the infobox. (Do not use these if the date is before 1583). Be cautious about using these if the person is still living, per WP:DOB.
