Bertram Goodman, WPA artist, putting the finishing touches on his mural "The Development of Printing", at Theodore Roosevelt High School (Washington Ave. and Fordham Rd., Bronx, NY). The figure on which he is working is that of an early bookbinder, drawing threads through a book. It is the central figure in the foreground of the panel. The mural has been executed under the supervision of the Federal Art Project of the WPA.
