[1]Kathleen Gertrud Ferrier (born 8 March 1957) is a Dutch politician of Surinamese descent and a development aid worker. He served as a member of the Parliament of the Netherlands representing the Christian Democratic Appèl (Christen-Democratisch Appèl) party from 2002 to 2012.

[dezie | dezie ebe o si][2] Ferrier was born in Paramaribo in Suriname when it was a colony of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. She is the daughter of Surinamese president Johan Ferrier [1] and half-sister of Surinamese writer Cynthia McLeod. Ferrier studied Spanish language and Spanish literature (with a specialization in contemporary American Spanish literature), Portuguese language and development aid at the University of Leiden. He completed his master's thesis with the Cuban poet Nicolás Guillén.
He is a member of the Protestant Church in the Netherlands (PKN).
